NTI students and teachers come from a wide range of backgrounds. They have many career and study backgrounds spanning from human resources, health care and religion to psychology, counseling and philosophy. Despite this broad depth of experience, all NTI students and teachers have fundamental similarities. They all:
- Have a thirst for knowledge and a desire to learn and teach the fundamentals of Buddhism.
- Are interested in how Buddhism applies in the real world and in our current society.
- Want to learn from, and share with international experts and other peers in their classes.
- Have a desire to be with like-minded and like-hearted scholars who help and challenge each other to learn and achieve.
